We are seeking a motivated intern to join our Middle Office and ESG teams, contributing to both digital transformation and sustainability initiatives across Patrimonium’s asset classes. This role provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in investment fund operations, data management, and ESG reporting. The internship will be split 50/50 between Middle Office (MO) projects and ESG support. Key Responsibilities Middle Office (50%) Database Transition: Assist in migrating data and processes from a large Excel file to a robust, scalable database (OneSource). Support data consolidation, cleaning, and validation to ensure accuracy and consistency across internal databases and external counterparties. Process Automation: Contribute to the automation of the annual rebate notice generation process, which currently involves the manual creation of 50+ PDF documents. Help design and test solutions that streamline and reduce manual workload. Centralized Rebate Data: Assist in centralizing and organizing rebate-related data across all Patrimonium products, improving data accessibility and reporting. KPI & Performance Tracking: Help build dashboards and tracking lists (e.g., in Power BI) to monitor the performance of the Aztec fund administrator, including error rates, time to resolution, and response times. Data Room Implementation: Support the setup and organization of a secure data room for investors in Swiss products (e.g., using platforms like Aztec Café or Brainloop). Ensure proper file management and access controls. Participate in project and investment team meetings, provide status updates, and document progress. Collaboration & Support: Provide ad-hoc support to the Middle Office team, taking on tasks as they arise. ESG & Sustainability (50%) KPI Development: Collect, structure, and propose simple ESG KPIs (energy, emissions, water, waste) for internal monitoring and investor reporting. UN PRI Benchmarking: Review the latest UN PRI Transparency Report, benchmark against peers, and summarize key findings. Materiality Matrix Support: Assist in gathering data and stakeholder input for a basic ESG materiality matrix. ICS Support: Monitor ESG-related tasks in the ICS tool, track completion rates, and extract simple KPIs for reporting. Profile & Skills Student or recent graduate in Finance, Data Science, IT, or related field. Strong Excel skills; knowledge of databases (SQL, Access) and data visualization tools (Power BI, Python) a plus. Analytical mindset with attention to detail and a structured approach to problem-solving. Interest in ESG, sustainability reporting, and responsible investing. Proactive, adaptable, and motivated to work in an environment with limited processes and evolving priorities. Good communication skills in English; German or French is a plus.
