Missions

• Conduct applied research in one or more of the following areas: consumer behavior, consumer science, international
• marketing or any other related subjects, preferably with a focus on sustainability;
• Obtain research funding from national and/or international funding agencies such as Swiss National Science
• Foundation, Innosuisse or European agencies, and develop consulting mandates with private sector industry , partners;
• Teach one or more of the following subjects (consumer behaviour, market research, brand and sales management
• digital marketing, e-commerce & social media, international marketing, strategic marketing) at the Bachelor and , Master programs as well as in continuing education programs;

Develop outreach activities such as conferences, scientific and academic publications, industry collaborations;

Profile

• Master degree (or equivalent) in the field of marketing, consumer science or related fields, PhD is a very important
• Applied research experience, in particular in funding applications (for an appointment at the associate level, proven
• track record of securing funding for applied research, publications, conducting research projects and managing a , research team, as well as of obtaining and performing consulting mandates);
• Teaching experience at Bachelor/Master level, ability to teach in English (department language);
• At least 5 years of non-academic professional experience in an international environment
• The position of Associate Professor at a University of Applied Sciences is a four-year permanent contract
